Last January 9, the grand media conference for the upcoming film, “Mr. And Mrs. Cruz” took place in Quezon City. Friends from the press were invited to ask questions to Director Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, Ryza Cenon, and JC Santos regarding this heart-wrenching film.
VIVA Films and The IDeaFirst Company proudly bring you their first movie offering for 2018 about love, commitment, and marriage, “Mr. And Mrs. Cruz”. A film written and directed by Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, the same director who gave us last year’s highest-grossing film, “Kita Kita”.
This time, director Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo talks about the thing that comes with love, but no one wants to really talk about: COMMITMENT. “Mr. And Mrs. Cruz” is the story of Raffy and Gela who went on a vacation to spend time in Palawan, but instead found themselves enjoying each other’s company. As they spend more time together, their unconventional love story begins and flourishes. But soon enough, trouble in paradise arises as their views in love, commitment and marriage clash. Will they see it through the end together? Once again, Director Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo creates a masterpiece that will hit the heart and hit reality.
“Mr. And Mrs. Cruz” boasts of its stellar casts JC Santos and Ryza Cenon. It is the first time for JC and Ryza to pair up on screen, but the chemistry between the two stars is uncannily undeniable.
JC Santos played the role of Fidel in the 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino top-grossing film, “100 Tula Para Kay Stella,” opposite Primetime TV Gem Bela Padilla. His role as Ali in ABS-CBN’s Primetime teleserye “Till I Met You” has made him TV’s newest sensation.
Ryza Cenon on the other hand is one versatile actress, whose acting career blossomed in 2017 via the romance-horror film, “Ang Manananggal sa Unit 32B.” Her portrayal of Georgia in GMA-7’s teleserye “Ika-6 na Utos” is considered to be her breakthrough role, earning for her a Best Supporting Actress nomination in the 2017 EdukCircle Awards.
“Mr. And Mrs. Cruz”, which was shot entirely in the picturesque and breathtaking island of El Nido, Palawan will bring all kinds of mood and vibes on screen, that will send the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Add to that the heart-tugging soundtrack performed by the hit group, The Juans and Nicole Omillo titled “Istorya” and “Before I Let You Go” (originally by Freestyle).
Shooting the film was a challenge though. “Literal na buwis buhay” as Director Sigrid describes it. In one of their shooting days, the team was almost got trapped in an exclusive beach where they filmed some of the scenes for the movie. As in, kailangan mong sumisid para makalabas ka.”
Valentine’s Day will come early this 2018 when “Mr. And Mrs. Cruz” opens in cinemas on January 24.

SMDC’s 11th anniversary celebration started and ended with a bang and set Twitter abuzz, reaching the high ranks of trending topics on Twitter on Thursday night. SMDC’s hashtag became a mainstay in the list of top Twitter trends. This as people eagerly tweeted and retweeted photos and posts of the anniversary concert.
The star-studded event, which happened on November 23 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, drew a large crowd, composed of valued SMDC guests, property homeowners, employees, as well as the fans of the artists.
SMDC Double 1 is the company’s way of thanking everyone with their unwavering support for the brand. With 11 powerful years in the real estate industry, the event also celebrates new SMDC milestones: its unstoppable growth reaching locations outside Metro Manila, introducing the house and lot properties, and its overseas expansion in China starting with Silk Residences in SM City Chengdu.
Excitement began to brew bright and early on the day of the anniversary concert. Fans and music enthusiasts alike flocked to the MOA ticket booths in hordes, wearing smiles as they anticipated all-out performances from their music idols.
During the event proper, the crowd went wild when the lights dimmed and the show began. Morissette got the concert going with her rendition of Break Free. She hyped up the excitement with a smooth segue to the songs Akin Ka Na Lang and Power.
Up next on the stage was James Reid. The dapper singer heartthrob magnified the excitement at the Arena with the song Wild Thoughts. He followed through with a sizzling performance of Questions, dancing along with the GForce. He then wrapped up his set with Cool Down, a number that elicited warm applause from his audience.
One of the highlights of the event was Martin and Regine’s highly anticipated duet. The two legendary singers evoked nostalgia among their fans as they sang Forever. As expected, the song number drew nods from the crowd.
The Asia’s Songbird ignited the fire onstage when she sang a couple of her timeless hits including Araw Gabi followed by a flawless medley of You Are My Song, Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka, Dadalhin, and On The Wings of Love.
Meanwhile, Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo took the stage by storm as she sang her famous song Kilometro. As expected, she went all out in her performance, giving her audience a memorable night of good music. Her rhythmic moves onstage, as she sang New Rules and Freedom, were a sight to behold for the concertgoers. The night was made more memorable with the launching of the latest Star Life jingle, SMDC’s trademark theme song.
SMDC’s anniversary concert closed on a high note. All five artists went up the stage, stood side by side and joined hands to mark SMDC’s 11 years of excellence in the real estate industry – a signal of many more powerful years ahead for the company.

Marami ring American TV shows na nasalihan ni Ivan, tulad ng “Dexter”, at “CSI: Miami”, “CSI: New York”, at “The Closer”.
