"Darkroom" is Viva Films' first offering for this year. It is a teenage horror film that is inspired by the famous slasher films, "The Blair Witch Project" and "The Ring."
The movie's cast is composed of the country's most promising young artists that include Ella Cruz, Donnalyn Bartolome, Bret Jackson, AJ Muhlach, Andrew Muhlach, Rose Van Ginkel, Caleb Santos, Samantha Capulong and Jack Reid with Pedring Lopez on the helm.
The film is about a group of friends who went to a ghost-hunting trip. But then, the supposed-to-be fun and exciting activity turned into a series of horrifying events when they carelessly handled a camera they stumbled upon. Unknowingly, they have unleashed a demon that exists in it and started making their lives miserable.
Maine Azores and Vin Flores played by Ella Cruz and Bret Jackson are at the early stage of a romantic relationship. Vin is a car enthusiast while Maine, although being an introvert is the "Campus Crush" in school.
Mina Montero, portrayed by Rose Van Ginkel is a Mass Communication Film major and is Vin's greatest influence in leading the group into the ghost-hunting trip.
Yssah Jusay played by Donnalyn Bartolome is the perkiest in the squad and she has the ability to make everything fun when she is around. She is secretly inlove with her bestfriend, Mina.
Josh played by Caleb Santos is also inlove with Mina. He is the audioman of the group.
Mac, portrayed by Jack Reid is Mina's younger brother who is a balikbayan and the bestfriend of Franz, played by Andrew Muhlach.
Another pair of lovebirds are Gail Brion and Kurt Tuazon portrayed by Samantha Capulong and AJ Muhlach. Kurt is the leader of a bang called "Game of Love."
