It's official: James Reid will star as the new Pedro Penduko.
In their effort to offer audience a new and exciting challenge for James Reid, Epik Studios and Viva films launch a completely fresh take on the Pedro Penduko franchise.
Mostly based on the freshly minted Comic Book which made its world debut in the New York Comic Con, where most Superhero franchise are launched, it promises to be an action-packed adventure superhero movie that will fit the character of James.
“Im excited to do this” said James. “I always wanted to be a superhero and if you read the comic book, it’s really a new approach from the original movies. I like it!," quips James.
Another revelation here from James is that Nadine will also be part of the film.
Both fans and the international community in attendance of the biggest entertainment event in history, the “HistoryCon 2017”, got the first crack of this exclusive. The crowd was jam-packed and people were rushing to the stage with their copies of the book.
The movie will start filming by end of the year 2017, and with all the post production work, it will premiere sometime in 2018.
Sounds really exciting!

The blockbuster film, "Kita Kita" has reached a whopping 300 million on its third week. According to Erickson Raymundo, one of Spring Films' pioneers, this film is now considered as the highest grossing indie film in the country.
It broke the record that was set by "Heneral Luna" which earned 257 million.
Despite the piracy wherein copies of the film are being spread online, it is still showing in 161 countries nationwide and is about to screen internationally.
In his Facebook post, Erickson Raymundo expressed his gratitude and happiness. He wrote:
"300 MILLION na ang Kita Kita! May himala! Totoong may himala! Naramdaman at kitang kita namin ang himala.
"Honestly our faith goal was to make 60-80 Million but if our movie will just hit 30 Million at the box office, we will still be happy. From 2 Million gross on our first day to 300 Million on our 3rd week, I dont how how you call it but for me it's definitely a miracle.
"Kita Kita is now the highest grossing independently produced movie in the Philippines. Maraming salamat Kabayan! Maraming salamat Panginoon."
The official Facebook page of "Kita Kita" also posted a photo and thanked everyone who supported them.
"Kabayan! Gusto namin magbilang hanggang 300 Million pero hindi na kakayanin ni Facebook sila na ang umawat.
300 ang luhang pumatak sa aming mga mata dahil nagtagumpay tayo.
"Dahil dito Kaya pa namin tumagal ng 300 years sa sinehan. Char!
"300 million tayo at para bang nabreak na natin ang highest grossing indie film sa Pilipinas. (Grabeee kayo)
Cheers with Sapporo Kabayan!
"Sa kabila ng pamimirata na aming naranasan, mas pinili pa rin ng nakararami na panoorin kami sa sinehan. Sa mga tunay na Kabayan na walang sawa na sumusuporta at tumutulong sa amin laban sa piracy maraming Salamat!!
